Fredrik Färg at Salone Satellite, Milano
Stand C:15 April 2009 Fredrik will show his project RE:cover, bespoke dresses to old chairs, and more new pieces. One new piece is Modus:cover, a cupboard distinguished by the fashion prevalent on the day it was built. The cupboard is covered with fashion magazines from its birthday, and is thereafter stained in black and varnished, and the magazines show through ever so slightly. A secret shelf inside the cupboard hides a magazine in original. The inspiration for this piece of furniture comes in part from the magical moment when one renovating an old house finds newspapers, as old as the house, behind the wallpaper. The historical context of the building suddenly stands before you! View press images here.

Salone Satellite 2008 / Imbalanced Structure
April 2008 "Fredrik Färg's products shows how construction can be playful and how beautiful the world can seem when slightly tilted. Even basic rules and laws of nature, can become visible when challenged. A familiar object on an unexpected scale, or a steady object of unsteady material, can, hopefully, open our eyes." Swedish Association of Architects
at Stockholm Furniture Fair EH:05 February 2008 "The prominent young designers Erika Janunger and Fredrik Färg describe some of the most important aspects of spatial experience in the exhibition Imbalanced Structure. They intend to show what architecture also can be ñ how space and human body interact in a very specific way, how construction can be playful and how beautiful the world can seem when slightly tilted." Grow up! at the Salone del Mobile in Milan 18-23 April The project Grow up! will be exhibited during the Salone del Mobile in Milan 18-23 April. I will be displaying my friend in the dark: Snug, a lamp for children. Snug is a friend during the night with a comfy light and a friendly shape. It can change characters through the flexible joints and the possibility to shift the pillows to attain new positions. The lamp is cordless so it can be placed anywhere in a room, for example sitting on a shelf dangling with its legs. Read more about Grow up! and view the work at HDK's website (click the Grow up! or Snug links above).

Grow up!: HDK master project at Stockholm Furniture Fair 07 January 2007 Together with my class I'm representing HDK at the fair with my project Snug: a friend in the dark, a kind of night lamp! We've all been young and we all carry memories from our childhood as well as from our teenage years. But it can be difficult to remember all the things we used to appreciate. In what way were we thinking, fantasizing and solving problems? One of HDK's main values is sustainable thinking throughout the design process, and those ideas are present also in the Grow up! project. Snug can be found at the HDK masterlevel stand V03:30.
